Information notice – Contact us and Subject Request Management System


Polestar Performance AB, a Swedish legal entity with company registration number 556653-3096 and address Assar Gabrielssons Väg 9 405 31 Göteborg Sweden, hereinafter referred to as “Polestar”, “we”, “our” and “us”, will as controller process your personal data as described below.

Purpose and legal basis for processing

We process the personal data that you provide to us in order to deliver the services, information and marketing communication that you have requested from us and for research and development activities in relation to our services and marketing communications. We also process your responses to and interactions with the digital marketing communication that you receive in order to deliver relevant and high-quality marketing communication to you and for statistical purposes. We may use your personal data for online and social profiling purposes in order to improve our marketing communication.

If you have accepted our use of cookies, we may combine your personal data with your online behavior on our websites. The legal basis for our processing as described above is your consent and/or the performance of a contract with Polestar. You have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data at any time. Please direct a request for withdrawal of consent to Polestar using the contact information on our Contact Us form.

We process the personal data that you provide to us in relation to your Data Subject Request (name, email address, etc.). The purpose of our processing is to administer your Data Subject Request. We will also process the personal data that you provide to us for development of, and for statistical purposes in relation to, our Subject Request Management System.

The legal basis for our processing of your personal data for administering your Data Subject Request is that this processing is necessary for compliance with the legal obligation that we are subject to in relation to your rights. The legal basis for our processing of your personal data for development and statistical purposes is that this processing is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interest.

Disclosure and recipients of your personal data

Your personal data might be disclosed to both our local representatives and internal departments within Polestar in order to facilitate the investigation of your case. Please be aware that the data will be only processed in relation to your case.

Your personal data will be disclosed to and processed by our affiliates and our business partners for the above purposes. In relation to our affiliates and business partners located outside of EEA, we will transfer your personal data with the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission – safeguarding your personal data.

Retention time

We will store and otherwise process your personal data for up to four (4) years. This is either from when the case is closed or when your contract is terminated. The retention period depends on the nature of the case you submit to us.

We will process your personal data in relation to your Personal Data Request for a period of twelve (12) months from the date your request has been met.
