Information notice – Camera surveillance


Polestar Performance AB, a Swedish legal entity with company registration number 556653-3096 with address Assar Gabrielssons Väg 9, SE-405 31, Gothenburg, Sweden, hereinafter referred to as "Polestar," "we," "us," will as controller process your personal data as further described below.

Purpose and legal basis for processing

We may collect and otherwise process images of you collected through our use of surveillance cameras in our facilities. The purpose of our collection and further processing of your personal data is to safeguard our property and the security of our personnel. The legal basis for our processing of your personal data is that this processing is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interest. Please note that we do not index the footage other than on what day and time it was recorded.


Your personal data may be disclosed to the police in situations where have reasons to believe that a crime has occurred and we or the police believe that the footage where you are depicted contains information to further investigate the suspected crime.

Retention time

We store the footage for a maximum of 30 days from the date of recording unless we have reasons to believe that a crime has occurred, for which the footage will be stored and otherwise processed as long as the footage is needed for the investigation.

Your rights and contact information

Please note that some of the rights listed below, which are the rights that you have as a data subject under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679), are hard to exercise in relation to the footage recorded. It is, for instance, hard to correct the personal data, as it is, in fact, a mere recording of actual events. Please have this in mind when reading through the list of rights below.

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data that we process about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal data, please use this WEB FORM. Make sure to state that you are interested in camera surveillance data in the free text field and include all relevant information for us to be able to identify you.

Please do not hesitate to ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to have your personal data deleted and to have our processing of your personal data restricted in certain circumstances. In addition, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data. If you are of the opinion that we are processing your personal data in violation of data protection laws and regulations you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
