When you initiate a chat on our webpages, you choose whether to chat as a guest or logged in with your Polestar ID. If you choose to chat as a guest, we will process your IP number in order to initiate and keep the chat session, and the data you write in the chat in order to support you with your request. In you choose to chat logged in with your Polestar ID, we will process the personal data connected to your Polestar ID to be able to access the history related to your request and to store your chat so that it can be accessed if you are in contact with us again about your request.

If you make a Data Subject Right Request, we process the personal data that you provide to us in relation to your Data Subject Request (name, e-mail address etc.). The purpose of our processing is to administer your Data Subject Request. We will also process the personal data that you provide to us for development of, and for statistical purposes related to, our Subject Request Management System.

Chats are stored for twelve (12) months (logged in with your Polestar ID) or three (3) months (guest).
