Polestar uses tracking pixels for the purposes of measuring performance of our ads. A tracking pixel is an HTML code snippet which is loaded when a user visits our website, click on our ads or opens an email containing a newsletter. We add tracking pixels on our website, in our ads and in our newsletter by using a code in the website’s HTML code or in the email. Such code contains an external link to the pixel server and if you visit the website, click on the ads or opens the newsletter, the code will be processed, usually by your browser, and the browser will open up the external link to the pixel server and it will be registered in the server’s log file that you clicked on a certain ad.
