In order for Polestar Performance AB ("Polestar", "we") to be able to provide you with all the functionality related to your Polestar Connect service, we need to process certain data, including personal data.
Polestar Performance AB, a Swedish legal entity with company registration number 556653-3096 with address Assar Gabrielssons Väg 9, SE-405 31, Gothenburg, Sweden, hereinafter referred to as "Polestar," "we," "us," will as controller process your personal data as further described below.
The purpose of the processing is for Polestar to be able to provide you with the Polestar Connect service and with improved versions of said service.
A Polestar ID is needed for the Polestar Connect service to be offered. Data processing information about Polestar ID can be found at Terms and conditions for services. Your name and email address are the Personal data provided by Polestar ID. Polestar uses this to identify you and to make it possible to save your personal settings needed for the Polestar Connect service. In addition to the Polestar ID, a personal mobile phone number is needed. Polestar Connect uses the mobile phone number to be able to push information to you via SMS.
Polestar Connect provides functionality to view the status and control your car remotely. In order to do so, the following is collected from the car every time the key is taken out of the car. Please note that some of the car data listed below is also considered personal data.
Polestar will process the data listed above on the basis that such processing is necessary in order for us to be able to deliver the Polestar Connect service, in accordance with the terms and conditions applicable between you and Polestar. You will be unable to use the Service unless you allow us to process your personal data.
When your Polestar Connect subscription comes to an end, the details linked with this Service, including your personal data, will be deleted after 90 days. For information on how information linked to your Polestar ID is handled on termination of your contract, please see Terms and conditions for services.
When a change of ownership of the car is registered in Polestar Connect, all data relating to the previous owner, including personal data, is permanently deleted. A change of ownership can be registered at Polestar Support or in the Polestar Connect App.
If the driving journal is activated in the Polestar Connect service, the data relating to trips is stored in Polestar's cloud for 400 days and then deleted. If you have a hybrid/Twin Engine model, data is also stored for the route. If you deactivate the driving journal service, no data relating to your trips will be collected, and any data collected will be deleted.
Polestar never shares data with third parties without the customer's consent.
